Hike 360 VR

Hiking around in the round

Bristol Woods Park, WI

I’m working my way through the hikes listed the book, 60 Hikes within 60 Miles of Chicago. This week, I’m in Wisconsin. I have been camping for all of September at Chain O’Lakes State Park, IL. If you’d like to see some of my videos from Chain O’Lakes visit our post.

Most of our videos are filmed in a full 360 arc, this means you should be able to use your device to move the video around and up and down. If you are having issues or if you are watching with VR goggles, click over and watch our Hike360vr playlist directly on YouTube.

Mostly I talk about the weird night I had camping, but I also discuss some of the Bristol Woods hike details. Bristol Woods Park is the most natural of all the Kenosha County Parks. This 200-acre park boasts 4.28 miles of hiking trails and is home to the Pringle Nature Center and a new aerial adventure park (ropes course) called Boundless Adventures.
Walking along the Red trail. A nicely groomed path and well marked. Although it sounds like my hike is going from trail to trail to trail, its pretty easy and enjoyable.
Not so much an old barn as much as it is a new pile of saw dust. There is a good map found here: https://www.kenoshacounty.org/Documen…
Traveling along the Red Trail, maybe I find the old barn and maybe I don’t : ) In any case, I’m enjoying a great day.
A new aerial adventure park, Boundless Adventures, within Bristol Woods Park is now open. This is the result of a partnership between Kenosha County Parks and Boundless Adventures, a New York-based company that operates similar high-ropes courses in Purchase, N.Y. and Berlin, Mass. This amenity offers families, friends, and teams of all ages and skill levels the ability to challenge their boundaries.
I had a great day exploring the park and discovering some of the park features. The feel of this hike was similar to Marengo Ridge, check out my hike: https://www.hike360vr.com/marengo-rid…
